Since we last wrote, we've happily welcomed the start of spring.
Last Friday was a great day - it was the first day of spring. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather in California where we are based, so it actually did feel like a beautiful spring day. We were also excited about last Friday because the First Lady Michelle Obama and twenty-six elementary school children broke ground on the White House's Kitchen Garden. We greatly admire her work and the message she is sending about planting and cultivating your own food, but also eating more healthily ... but we couldn't help but think, even though she was dressed fabulously (as she always is!), don't you think a pair of Gala Ethel Gloves on her hands would have put her outfit over the top? We hope one day to see her, Malia and Sasha all sporting Ethel Gloves one day in the Kitchen Garden!
On the Ethel Gloves front, we continue to have more exciting updates with regards to new retailers! In addition to our retail updates last week, we'll be celebrating our one-year anniversary with the introduction of Ethel Gloves in several new markets for us: Oregon and Maryland. In Oregon, you will now be able to purchase our gloves at a breathtakingly-beautiful nursery called Four Seasons Nursery, and in Maryland, we will be at the amazingly wonderful Valley View Farms. If you are lucky enough to be within a good driving distance of either of these stores, we highly suggest checking them out.
Until next time, we hope everyone is enjoying spring as much as we are!
