When we were creating Ethel, we tried our best to imagine the many uses women would find for our gloves. Gardening and doing various tasks around the house, sure. Walking the dog, maybe. Just wearing them to feel fabulous and sassy, why not. Climbing a mountain? Not in our wildest dreams - but it has been done!
We kid you not. We heard from Brittany, who recently wore her Ethel Jubilee gloves to climb to the top of Mount Whitney! Yes, that Mount Whitney - "the highest summit in the contiguous United States" (thanks Wikipedia). When Brittany was planning for her trek up the mountain with her friends, she looked at her Ethel gloves that she'd been using in her garden and it dawned on her that they might make a good addition to her day pack. Sure enough, as she put it:
"I thought the Ethel gloves would work well... and they did!"
One of the guiding priciples of Ethel team has always been to offer a glove that could help women achieve and do more than the average, one-size-fits-all glove will let them. As you can see by this example, there's no limit to what women can achieve, and Ethel will gladly be there every step of the way.
Congrats, Brittany on your amazing achievement! Here is a picture of Brittany at the top of Mount Whitney - so amazing and so fabulous!
